Whether we're collaborating on crafting a logo, developing a business report, or designing packaging for your products, our process generally follows the same structure. Below is a general framework outlining how this comes together.
Prior to offering a project quote, we like to start out with a "kick-off call." During this discussion, you'll have the chance to articulate your vision, outline the scope of work, disclose any budgetary considerations, and specify your timeline. This collaborative exchange often reveals fresh ideas and perspectives that may have been overlooked, enabling us to better assist you in achieving your goals.
Following our initial conversation, we'll supply you with a quote that includes several pricing and scope options; we believe providing varied scopes at different price points allows you to select the option that best suits your needs. Depending on the complexity of the project, we may send a more detailed proposal outlining our approach and strategies.
A moodboard can be very useful in a project's early phases, though it may not always be essential. We typically create one only when necessary to ensure all parties are on the same page before moving forward.
Sketching allows us to express multiple ideas without the pressure of finalization, although its necessity is dependent on the project (for example, sketches aren’t typically provided when creating reports). In this phase, we present refined sketch options and discuss the best direction to move forward with in the digital phase.
The digital phase is where everything begins to materialize. Once we've settled on a rough direction from either our discussion or through concepting, we'll provide digital options based on your feedback. This phase can include vectorized logos in color, mockups of our design on physical products or spaces, PDFs of reports, website frameworks, and more.
Depending on the scope of work you selected from the quote, there typically anywhere from 2-5 rounds of revision. This gives us an opportunity to explain our design-thinking while also guiding you in making the best possible choices for your project. With each round, the work will evolve until we’ve developed the final deliverable.
Once the project has reached its final stage, we’ll provide you all the final assets—whether that be logo files in multiple colors and file types, a press-ready document, or digital assets for social media and web. Should you need it, we also offer print handling, where we can facilitate production with a pre-existing printer or one we recommend.
